About the Cheshire Consort

All Cheshire Consort singers are members of St George’s Singers, one of the North of England’s best known choirs, with a deserved reputation for the quality and excellence of their choral singing as well as their innovation and enterprise. 

Whilst not professional singers, all Consort members are regularly auditioned, often take solo parts in St George’s Singers’ concerts, and devote a considerable amount of their free time to rehearsing and preparing for concerts and weddings. The number of singers at your wedding will vary, depending on the particular music you choose, the blend of voices required and the size of the venue, but will normally be between 16 and 20.

On the day of your wedding, the Consort will be conducted and/or accompanied by St George’s Singers’ professional musicians, or by other professionals with whom The Cheshire Consort has working relationships.
